Learning iPhone Photography teaches mobile photography enthusiasts to capture moments in their lives using mobile phones.
We recognize the power of photography and want to use this form of visual art to connect and inspire more people.
Learning iPhone Photography is offering a Mobile Photography Scholarship to undergraduate and postgraduate students with a passion for mobile photography across the United States.
One student will be selected to receive a $500 scholarship.
You are a current undergraduate or postgraduate student studying Arts, Visual Arts, Marketing, Journalism or Communications.
Learning iPhone Photography will award the scholarship based on the creativity and insightfulness of the photograph and the short essay following these selection criteria:
Topic: This is America
- Use a mobile phone to take a photo related to the topic. You are allowed to use mobile apps to edit the photo on your phone, but the photo should not be altered in any desktop image processing program. The photo must not be smaller than 1000 pixels in either height or width.
- Write a short story about the topic and the photo you take (1000 words maximum).
The photo and essay must be your original work, and should not be previously published anywhere.
Please submit your application to email@example.com including the following:
- An updated resumé/CV
- A current unofficial transcript
- A photograph related to the topic
- A short essay
Scholarship candidates must submit their full application (resume, transcript, photograph, and short essay) by May 31, 2018. Applications missing any of the required materials after the deadline will not be considered.
The winner will be announced before June 25, 2018. The scholarship will be awarded by July 9, 2018.
The scholarship applicant has full copyright. Learning iPhone Photography may publish the works of the finalists and winner on learningiphonephotography.com. Any photograph and essay used by Learning iPhone Photography will credit the finalists and winner. The scholarship finalists and winner understand and agree that their submissions may be used by Learning iPhone Photography.
